You cut the early break in half and get 5 inches. Subtract that 5 inches from the 12 inches of beak in the second half of the putt and aim 7 inches left. Putt breaks another 5 inches right and then 12 inches back left to the hole. DOUBLE BREAKER CHEAT SHEET--FULL DETAILS 1. Read from the ball to hole and note the GAP & AIM LINE. Example you read a GAP of 2.5 inches right of the pin. You calibrated 4 GAP green speed on the practice green so you Aim 4 x 2.5 inches or 10 inches right of the Pin. 2. Because this putt changes slope near the hole you cut your aim line in half and now you have a picture in your head of a start line 5 inches right of the pin. 3. Read from the Hole back to the Ball. You see a GAP of 3 inches in the opposite direction. This read gives you 4 GAPS x 3 Inches so now you have a start line of 12 inches left of the pin for the second part of the break. 4. Subtract the first read (Ball to Hole) from the second read (Hole to Ball). This example putt would be second read 12 inches - 5 inches or 7 inches left of the pin. It starts 7 inches left of the pin and breaks 5 inches right to left. So now it is 12 inches left of the pin and the second break takes over. The second break is 12 inches right. That is the middle of the hole.
