This video is a little different from my usual tutorials: instead of a step-by-step explanation, this is a quiet process video showing the complete making of a 4-needle coptic notebound book from start to finish. I simply wanted to share the rhythm and flow of the binding process with slow jazz music, the original studio sounds, and a few written notes along the way. The video is sped up a bit, but you can still see the movements and atmosphere of the binding process — including a few real imperfect moments here and there (mostly some struggles with the thread). Since this is quite an advanced coptic binding, I won’t be explaining the steps in detail yet. If you are new to coptic binding, don’t worry: a beginner-friendly tutorial for a simpler coptic binding will come soon. Please let me know how I can improve the video quality or leave a comment on what you would love to see from my channel and little bookmaking studio.
