If you’ve been struggling to master your own songs in FL Studio, this is exactly what I did in the video to get a louder master instantly—even if you don’t have any mastering knowledge. First thing I always tell you: export your mix with headroom. Don’t hit 0dB before export. Make sure your mix is sitting around -6dB to -3dB, because mastering can’t fix a bad mix, and you need space for the limiter to work clean. From there, I load iZotope Ozone on the master and I highlight the busiest part of the song (normally the chorus) so the Master Assistant can read the most intense section—backings, instruments, everything. In Ozone 8, I choose CD target for an “all purpose” master and I go with High loudness when I want it loud enough. The big catch is clipping: if your kick is hitting too hard, it can blast. So I check LUFS with a loudness meter (commercial is usually around -9 to -8 LUFS) and if it’s clipping, I back off the limiter threshold a little bit until it’s clean. Then I also show the updated Ozone (11) workflow where I use a reference track. I load a similar vibe song, let Ozone match the tonal balance and width (imager), and it gives me a clean, professional direction with almost zero work—just use it with caution and make sure your mix is solid.
