A Poem About INDIA for the Golden Wreath Award 🇮🇳 My First Poetry Book Presentation 2017 Throwback

My first collection of poems THE MOON IS MY WITNESS was nominated for the GOLDEN WREATH AWARD 2017. The opening was done by the renown writer and poet Rade Siljan. I was told that he almost never gives speech at book presentations, but he did in my case which really was a confidence booster for me. Special guests that evening were the famous Macedonian singer Violeta Tomovska and the film director Dragan Veljanovski. On the contrabass is my friend Ambika. Many of the guests were university professors and doctors and IT people. I am uploading this video so I can watch and relish this unforgettable evening again and again. This is the poem i read: WAITING FOR YOU Waiting for you with the blades of pain I have carved my soul in the shape of yours and poured all my love in it. Waiting for you I killed the talk of crickets whose noise deafened the night and shrunk the earth to a pea. Waiting for you, I hid the dream in your wakened eyes; one day it will awaken and shine like a sun being born from the womb of your land. Saffron, white and green, saffron, white and green will wave on both ends of the world.
