Claude Code gets close to perfect because it actually runs the loop (build, test, debug) and feels like a senior dev pair-programming with you 24/7. But Base44 wins because it breaks the pattern entirely. You describe the outcome, and it quietly handles the backend, database, auth, hosting, and publishing—so you’re not trying to become a faster coder, you’re just shipping. That’s the shift: stop optimizing code generation and start optimizing outcomes.
