In this video, I’m taking you with me from Dallas to Los Angeles to meet one of my online friends in person for the very first time—and it was honestly such a joy-filled, safe-space kind of trip. We did all the little things: Trader Joe’s snack haul for the movies (yes, we were prepared), beach day vibes, Lemonade in Orange County, and a co-working session where we talked real business—like the tension between what “looks good” and what actually converts. I’m always moving in excellence, but I’ve learned the hard way that aesthetics don’t automatically equal sales, especially when you’re playing the organic game. But of course, the best part was the God part. On our hike, we got into Bible stories from Matthew/Mark and talked about Jesus cursing the fig tree—how it looked fruitful from a distance but had no fruit up close. That word challenged me: what in my life is giving the image of fruitfulness but is actually fruitless? And God’s been ministering to me heavy that Jesus didn’t have to prove Himself—so I don’t have to prove myself either. I’m validated by God, not by people, and that lets me show up in confidence and obedience in the assignments He’s actually called me to.
