On a hot Summer morning I decided to try out a new trail a little over two hours to my south in Dalton, Georgia called Buzzard's Roost. Currently it's a loop style trail with a lead in and lead out connector trail. Little did I know this ride would make me question everything about myself as a rider as well as my ability to predict the weather! The 3+ mile initial climb took me out almost completely and that was the first of two large climbs! I wrecked, got caught in a torrential downpour, and after riding back downhill in the slush and mud muscle cramps plagued me! Not my best day of riding... just thought you'd like to share in the misery!
