Making a Snare Drum

A project that I've always want to do is a Drum build. I never had a reason or the extra little drive to do it before. Now that my daughter is in High School band playing the drums. I thought it would be a good time to do it. She plays the bass drum now, but wants to switch to the snare. One thing I found real quick was the price of the hardware. It cost so much to buy the hardware it was just cheaper to buy a drum and use the hardware from it. I lucked out and found a great used one on Facebook market for $40. Even if you paid full price for the drum I got, its still cheaper. Link below.
