In this quick makeup try-on, I’m testing five new-to-me products (mostly K/J/C-beauty) that I either recently bought… or literally found again in my stash after forgetting about them. I start with the Parnell Cicamanu Serum Cushion (gifted by my friend Judy) in two shades—19 Neutral Porcelain and 29 Sand—so I can mix to match my ever-changing skin tone. The finish is honestly beautiful: glowy, smooth, and kind of blurred, but because it’s serum-infused, I found it tricky to build and it sits more in the light coverage category (my cheek redness still peeks through). Then I move on to brows, lashes, and liner: the Judydoll Precision Auto Brow Pencil in Ash Gray is super pigmented with an angled tip, so you have to go in with a light hand (and yes, the spoolie helps). For mascara, I try the Kingdom Tobacan Curl Mascara—comb-style wand vibes like Majolica Majorka—but on my short, stubby lashes it didn’t really give me the curl I hoped for (it does separate nicely though). The Canmake Creamy Touch Liner in #15 is a cute pinky nude beige meant to brighten the waterline, but on me the effect was barely visible. Finally, I finish with the MAC Lustreglass in Hug Me (Xiaohongshu made it viral, okay) and it’s shiny, gorgeous, and giving me major nostalgic MAC lipstick feelings.
