Pouring Gold From My New Gold Mine Season 2 Episode 12

In the thrilling finale of Season 2, Jason finally pours the gold he's worked so hard to recover from his gold mine. This video captures every step of the process, from crushing 3 tons of raw ore to refining the largest gold button Jason has ever produced. The journey begins with the jaw crusher, which crushes the run-of-mine ore down to 3/4" minus. Next, the crushed material is fed into the hammer mill, where it's ground to 50% passing 50 mesh, liberating the gold from the host rock and gangue minerals. Once pulverized, the material is sent to the shaker table, where gold is separated from waste rock using density-based separation. After collecting the gold-rich concentrates from the shaker table, Jason walks us through the intricate smelting process. Using fluxes and high-temperature furnaces, the concentrates are melted into a precious metal alloy button. Jason further refines the gold through the cupellation technique, removing impurities and producing nearly pure gold. Along the way, he shares valuable insights into the chemistry of smelting and refining, revealing the hard work and expertise required to recover gold. By the end of the video, Jason unveils the results of his hard work over the past two seasons—a beautiful gold button that represents his dedication and determination.
