In this video, Jason demonstrates how a Mt. Baker Mining and Metals shaker table can effectively separate a dense metal alloy from a carbon fiber resin material. The sample, provided by a customer, represents a current waste stream but contains valuable metals that can be recovered. Using the principles of density separation, water, and vibration, the shaker table separates the heavy alloy into the #1 and #2 concentrate lines, while the lightweight carbon fiber washes into the tailings. No chemicals, heat, or pollution—just simple, clean, and efficient recovery! This particular sample was screened to 1/8” and ran flawlessly, leaving both materials extremely clean and ready for further processing or recycling.
