The Moondrop SSR is extremely comfortable and tiny, but I don’t like how it sounds. To me it’s bass-rolled with an overly forward midrange and treble that comes off shouty, shrill, and thin, and the technicalities didn’t stand out for $40.

Cons
- -Bass rolls off and can sound limp at normal listening levels
- -Very forward mids/treble—bright, shouty, and thin
- -Low perceived resolution and weak dynamics for the price
