I'm Matt, and today I’m going to show you how to update Google Chrome on your laptop. First, let’s get started by opening up Google Chrome. You’ll see the familiar blank page, and from there, we need to go to the top left corner of the screen. Look for the word "Chrome" right next to "File." Click on "Chrome," and then select "About Google Chrome." This will bring up a new window that shows you the version of Chrome you currently have. It will also automatically search for any updates available. If there’s an update, you’ll see a button that says "Update." Go ahead and click that. Once the update is downloaded, it will tell you that Chrome is nearly up to date and prompt you to relaunch the browser to finish the update process. Just click on "Relaunch," and Chrome will close and reopen automatically. Don’t worry; this is normal! After relaunching, your browser will be updated to the latest version. It's worth noting that updates don’t happen every day. Typically, Google releases updates about once a week. If you ever want to check for updates again, just repeat the same steps: go to "Chrome" and then "About Google Chrome." It will check for updates, and if there’s one available, you can update it easily. Keeping your Chrome up to date is really important for security reasons. Updates usually patch security holes or improve efficiency, so it’s a good habit to stay on top of them. I hope you found this video helpful!
