In this video, I’m going to show you how to turn notifications on or off in the Firefox browser. We all know how annoying those website notifications can be, so I’ll guide you through the steps to manage them effectively. First, I’m on the main homepage of Firefox. To start, we need to go to the top of the browser where you’ll see the menu. Click on "Firefox," which is located just to the left of "File." This will bring up a dropdown menu, and from there, select "Preferences." Once you’re in the preferences section, you’ll see a few tabs. We want to focus on the "Privacy & Security" tab, which is located a little further down the list. Click on that, and then scroll down until you reach the "Permissions" section. This area shows you all the permissions you’ve granted to different websites, including notifications. Next, click on "Notifications." A new window will pop up displaying all the websites that have requested permission to send you notifications. Here, you can easily manage which sites are allowed or blocked from sending you notifications. If you want to block notifications from certain sites, you can do that by selecting the site and clicking "Remove." If you have multiple sites and want to clear them all at once, there’s an option to "Remove All Websites." This is a quick way to declutter your notifications list. You can also choose to allow notifications from specific sites. For instance, if you see that Facebook is set to block, you can change that setting to allow it. This gives you granular control over which websites can send you alerts. If you have a lot of websites listed, there’s a search function that can help you find specific ones quickly. One important feature to note is at the bottom of the notifications window. You can check a box to block new requests from websites asking to send notifications. This will prevent any new sites from bothering you with requests, which can be a real lifesaver. Just keep in mind that blocking notifications might interfere with some website features. So, if you notice anything odd after making these changes, that could be the reason. Once you’ve made your selections, don’t forget to save your changes.
