For those who don’t know, Letterboxd is a social platform where film lovers can share their thoughts and reviews on movies. It’s a great way to engage with friends and discover new films through their insights. Let’s start by navigating the Letterboxd platform. When you log in, you’ll see a main feed filled with reviews from your friends. This is where you can find fresh opinions on films. You can also check out reviews by clicking on your profile at the top of the page. This takes you to your own profile, where you can see your reviews and the reviews of others. If you want to like a review, it’s super straightforward. For example, I recently reviewed the classic "Elevator to the Gallows" from 1958. After posting my review, I can see that some of my friends have also reviewed the same film. If I click on a friend’s review, like Ed Edgar’s, I can easily like it by hovering over the “like review” button and clicking it. Once I do that, a red heart appears, indicating that I’ve liked the review, and the like count updates. You can also explore other films and their reviews. I opened up a review for "Prisoner of Zendorf" from 1937, and again, it’s just as easy to like it. Just hover over the like button and click. It’s all about moving around the platform and finding reviews that resonate with you. Another example is the film "Irreversible." If I see a review for it, I can like that too with the same simple process. It’s really that easy to engage with reviews on Letterboxd.
