I’m starting off in an untitled document with some placeholder text. First, we need to add the watermark, so let’s head up to the toolbar and click on "Insert." You might notice that there’s no clear option for watermark here anymore. It used to be listed, but it’s been moved, which is why I’m making this video. To find the watermark option, scroll down to the bottom of the menu where it says "Page Elements." You’ll see "Watermark" about halfway down the list. Click on that, and a watermark window will pop up in the far right corner. Next, we need to select the image for our watermark. You'll have to click again to open the image selection, which can be a bit annoying. In the watermark window, you can add an image directly from your computer, which I’ll demonstrate now. You also have options to add images from your webcam, a link online, from Google Drive, or even Google Images. I’m going to click on "Browse" to open my desktop, where I have a pre-prepared image of a mountainscape. Once I select it and click "Open," the image will be inserted as a watermark. You’ll notice it has a slightly faded look, which is typical for watermarks. Now, you can adjust the size of the watermark. You can scale it up to 200%, 150%, or even 500% if you want it to cover most of your text. But if you prefer a smaller watermark, you can stick with 100%. You can also add text if you want to personalize it further. There are more adjustments available too. You can change the opacity, brightness, and contrast of the watermark. If you want to fine-tune it, you can increase or decrease the contrast, recolor the image, reposition it, and even rotate it. Whenever you want to make changes, just highlight the watermark and click "Edit" to bring up the adjustment panel again. And that’s it! That’s how you add a watermark in Google Docs.
