Today, I’m going to show you how to hyperlink text in Google Docs. I’m right here in an untitled document, and I’ve pasted some random text for this demo. Let’s say you want to add a link to a specific phrase, like "technical photography." First, you need to highlight the word or phrase you want to link. Once you’ve done that, look at the main toolbar for a paperclip icon labeled "Insert Link." When you hover over it, click on that icon, and you’ll be able to add your link. You can link to any Google Sheets or Google Docs that you have open in your account. If you want to link to a different website, like my site, Film Lifestyle, just type in the URL, for example, film lifestyle.com, and hit apply. Just like that, the link is added! When you hover over the link, you’ll see it points to the correct site, and clicking it will take you there. You can also link to other documents within your Google Drive, whether they’re Google Docs or Sheets, or add your own custom URLs. Now, if for some reason you can’t see the insert link option on the toolbar, don’t worry! You can click on "Insert" in the menu and find "Link" there. There’s also a keyboard shortcut available if you’re on a Mac, which can be really handy. If you can’t find the link option in the toolbar, just remember you can always access it through the insert menu. This method works the same way, allowing you to add links to existing documents or create new custom links. I hope you found this quick tutorial on how to add hyperlinks in Google Docs useful!
