Today, I’m diving into how to find underrated films on Letterboxd. When we talk about underrated films, we're looking for those gems that haven’t been seen by many people or don’t have high ratings yet, but could be really great. Remember, this is all subjective, and with millions of users on Letterboxd, it gives a good mix of what’s considered good or bad. To start your search for these underrated films, head to the search bar and type in “underrated.” Once you do that, make sure to click on the “Lists” option. This will show you a bunch of lists that include “underrated” in their titles or descriptions. It’s a fantastic way to uncover some hidden treasures! I’ve also put together some underrated lists that I’ll share in the video description. You can find the URLs there, so just click on them to explore. If you notice some films are blanked out, it means I’ve already seen them. Letterboxd has a feature that allows you to hide watched films, which is handy if you're trying to find something new. Keep in mind that these lists aren’t mine; they’re created by other users. For example, one list I found has 1,600 films and has been liked over 2,500 times, so it’s likely to be a good one. You can also sort these lists by ratings, which can help you find the highest-rated films right at the top. As you browse through these lists, you can click on any film to get more details, add it to your watchlist, or even clone the list to create your own. If you’re interested in 80s films, I found a list with 252 lesser-known movies from that decade, which I’ll also link in the description. Another great list I came across is titled “Movies Everyone Should Watch At Least Once In Their Lifetime,” which has over 345,000 likes. It’s one of the most popular lists on the platform, and it features some incredible films. Just look at the top five: classics like “12 Angry Men” and “Seven Samurai” are included.
