In this quick video, I'm going to show you how to enable or disable JavaScript in Firefox. Let’s jump right in. First, I’m on a random web page in Firefox. To find the settings, you need to go to the URL bar and type in "about:config." Don’t worry; I’ll put this text in the video description so you can easily copy and paste it. Once you hit return, you’ll see a warning that says "Proceed with caution." This is Firefox letting you know that changing advanced configuration preferences can affect performance or security. You’ll also see a checkbox that says "Warn me when I attempt to access these preferences." You can choose to accept the risk and continue if you want. Now, to access the advanced preferences, I’m going to check that box to show all settings. There are tons of options here, so we need to search for the JavaScript setting specifically. Just type "JavaScript" in the search bar. You'll find an option that says "JavaScript enabled," which is currently set to true, indicating that JavaScript is enabled. If you want to disable it, simply click on that setting, and it will change to false. There’s no need to save anything—once you make the change, it’s automatically applied. If you decide you want to enable JavaScript again, just click it back to true. Remember, these changes will stay in effect until you decide to change them again. So if your setting is currently false and you want JavaScript to run on your Firefox browser, just toggle it back to true. And that’s pretty much it! I’m going to change mine back to true because I want JavaScript enabled. Hopefully, you found this video helpful. If you did, please give it a like and subscribe for more tips like this!
