First off, you can find the main download page at unity.com/download. I’ll also drop that link in the video description for easy access, so you won't have to search for it. When you land on the download page, Unity automatically detects your operating system. For instance, it recognized that I’m using a Mac. If you’re on a Windows machine, it should identify that as well and present you with the option to download the Windows version. If it doesn’t detect your OS correctly, don’t worry! You can simply click on the Windows version link to start the download. There’s also a Linux option available, and if you choose that, you’ll find additional instructions for installation. Once you’re on the download page, you’ll see all the getting started instructions for installing Unity after the download. It’s pretty straightforward. There are system requirements listed, and if you want more information, you can scroll down to the bottom of the page. Now, to actually download Unity, just click the big download button. You’ll notice the download icon pop up, indicating that it’s automatically downloading. If for some reason the download doesn’t start, there’s a prompt you can click on to initiate it manually. After the download is complete, finding the installer is the next step. Where your download goes depends on your browser settings. I’m using Google Chrome on my Mac, and it automatically saves files to my downloads folder. Your setup might be different, but you should be able to locate the installer in your downloads. Once you find the installer, just open it and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation. It’s really that simple! I hope you found this video on how to download Unity helpful.
