If you've ever needed to hide something in your video, like sensitive information, this is the right place to learn how to do it. First off, head over to YouTube Studio. Once you're there, navigate to the "Content" section where you'll find your videos. I’m going to use a video that hasn’t gone live yet as an example. Click on the details of the video you want to edit, and then look for the editor option on the sidebar. This will open the built-in YouTube editor. Now, keep in mind that this editor isn't as powerful as some professional software like Final Cut Pro or Screen Studio, but it does the job for basic edits, including blurring. The timeline of your video will be visible here, and you can scroll through it to find the specific parts you want to blur. To start blurring, click on the plus sign in the blur section. You have two options: "Face Blur" or "Custom Blur." If you choose "Face Blur," YouTube will scan the video for any faces and give you the option to blur them out. However, in this particular video, I don’t have any faces, so I won’t be able to demonstrate that right now. If you need to blur something else, then "Custom Blur" is the way to go. This option allows you to select specific areas to blur. You can choose shapes like rectangles or ovals, and you can even track objects to keep the blur in place as they move. This feature isn’t as advanced as what you might find in dedicated software, but it works well enough for quick edits. Once you’ve set your blur, you can adjust its size and position on the screen. If you have multiple sections that need blurring, you can add additional custom blurs as needed. After you’re satisfied with your edits, don’t forget to hit the save button at the top. Your changes will be processed, and they should appear on your live video within about half an hour to an hour, though it can sometimes take a bit longer. That’s it! I hope you found this video on how to blur faces and sections in your YouTube videos helpful. If you did, please give it a thumbs up and subscribe for more tips and tricks like this!
