Today, I’m going to show you how to add headers and footers in Apple Pages. I’m starting with a blank document, and the first thing we need to do is enable the headers and footers. To do that, I’m going to go to the top right corner and click on the “Document” option. By default, the checkboxes for the header and footer are usually checked, which is why you can see the three boxes on the screen. However, if you can’t see them, don’t worry! Just click on the “Document” option again and check those boxes for both the header and footer if you want them. Once you have them enabled, you can also adjust their size by manipulating the boxes directly. This allows you to customize how much space you want for your headers and footers. Now, if you want to add page numbers, simply click into one of the header or footer boxes. You’ll see an option to insert page numbers. This is particularly useful if you want to keep track of your pages. You can choose from different formats, like “Page 1 of 1” or just “Page 1.” It’s really straightforward. So, to recap, you go to the “Document” section, check the boxes for the header and footer if they aren’t already checked, and then you can add page numbers or any other information you need.
