In this video, I’m going to show you how to add gradient color to text in Canva. I’ve got a project open, and I’ll start by selecting the text I want to modify. On the desktop version, you’ll find a sidebar, and we need to head down to the apps section. Once you click on the apps, it opens up a menu. I’ve already searched for the app we need, which is called the Type Gradient app. If you haven’t, just type “type gradient” into the search bar. Once you see the app pop up, click on it and then hit open. Now, the Type Gradient app is super handy. It opens up a variety of gradient options that you can experiment with. You’ll see a preview of different gradients as you click through them. There are tons of choices, including linear, radial, cone, and even some cool mesh gradients. Let’s say I want to use a gradient for my text that says “Objectives and Goals.” You can adjust the spacing, alignment, and even the font itself. I’ll go with the “Accelerator” font for this example. It’s really easy to move things around to get the look you want. If you want, you can also outline the text and change the thickness. Once you’re happy with your design, you can play around with the colors as well. There’s a lot you can do to make your text stand out. When you’re satisfied with how everything looks, just click on “Add to Design.” And there you have it! The text “Objectives and Goals” now has a vibrant gradient effect.
