I'm Matt, and today I'm going to show you how to add a drop shadow to text in Canva. I’ve got a demo presentation open, and I’ll be using a heading as an example. You can actually do this with any text in Canva, whether it’s for a presentation, an image, or anything else. First, I’ll select the heading text. Once I’ve clicked on it, I’ll head up to the effects toolbar. Here, I’ll click on "effects," and you’ll see "shadow" as the first option. You can toggle between "none" and "shadow" to see the difference. Once you select shadow, you’ll notice the text changes instantly. Now, let’s manipulate the drop shadow a bit. You can adjust the offset, which lets you move the shadow around. There’s also the option to change the blur, which can give a subtle or more pronounced effect. It’s pretty cool to see how these changes can enhance your text. Next, I’ll show you how to adjust the transparency of the shadow. This allows you to make the shadow more or less visible, depending on your design needs. You can even change the color of the drop shadow, which can be really useful for matching it with your overall design theme. I’ll also demonstrate how to apply a drop shadow to body text. Just click on the body text, go back to effects, and select shadow again. You’ll see a similar effect, and you can manipulate the settings just like we did with the heading. Feel free to experiment with the offset, direction, blur, and transparency to achieve the look you want. And don’t forget, you can also explore other effects like outline, neon, glitch, and echo if you’re looking for something different. So, that’s a quick overview of how to add drop shadows in Canva. I hope you found this video helpful! If you did, please give it a like; it really supports the channel. And make sure to subscribe for more Canva tips and tricks!
