Today, I’m going to show you how to calculate body fat online using a handy calculator. I usually go to calculator.net, specifically the body fat calculator at calculator.net/bodyfatcal.html. It’s a long URL, but I’ll drop it in the video description for easy access. Now, while you can use body fat calipers for a more precise measurement or even get scans done at the gym, this online tool is great for a quick estimate. You just need to enter a few details like your age, weight, height, neck, and waist measurements, and it’ll give you a body fat percentage along with a visual representation. The calculator defaults to metric units, so you’ll see the inputs in kilograms and centimeters. If you prefer US units, you can easily switch to pounds, inches, and feet. I like this calculator because it’s straightforward and doesn’t bombard you with ads, which can make it hard to focus. Let’s walk through an example. Say we’re calculating for a 35-year-old male weighing 95 kg and standing 188 cm tall. After entering these values and clicking calculate, we find out his body fat percentage is 14.4%. It’s important to note that individual results may vary, and the calculator also shows where this percentage falls within different categories like athletes and average fitness levels. Next, let’s try it for a female example. We can input a 40-year-old woman who weighs 125 lbs and is 5'6". The calculator will add hips as a measurement, which is a nice touch. After clicking calculate, we see her estimated body fat percentage is 24.3%. Again, results can vary, and for the most accurate measurement, a scan like a DEXA scan would be necessary. You can easily copy and paste the results if you need to save them for later. I highly recommend bookmarking this site; it’s a reliable resource no matter where you are, whether you’re on a tablet, phone, or desktop. I hope you found this video on calculating body fat online helpful! If you did, please give it a thumbs up and subscribe for more content just like this.
