Today, I'm going to show you how to convert HEIC files to PNG format. If you’ve taken photos on your iPhone, you might have noticed they’re often saved in this HEIC format. Sometimes, you might want to convert these images to a more widely used format like PNG or JPEG. I typically use a website called Pick Flow for this conversion, and I’ll put the link in the video description for you. Once you’re on the site, the first step is to click on “Add Images.” I’ve already prepared a folder with several HEIC images from my phone, so I’ll just select those. To select multiple images, I hold down the Shift key and click on each one. After selecting the images, I click “Open.” By default, Pick Flow will convert these HEIC files to PNG. It’s worth noting that you can also convert to other formats like JPEG, GIF, or BMP if you need to. But for this video, we’re sticking with PNG. Once everything is set, I click on “Convert All.” The conversion process is pretty quick. The files I’m working with are a bit large—one is 1MB, another is 5MB, and there’s another 1MB file. So, I’ll pause the video while it does its thing. And just like that, Pick Flow has finished converting the files! Now, I can click on “Save All.” This will save the converted files as a zip file since I’m working with multiple images. You’ll want to navigate to your Downloads folder or wherever your browser saves files, and open up that zip file. Inside, you’ll find a folder containing all the converted PNG images. I’ve opened the zip file, and you can see the same images that were originally in HEIC format are now in PNG. They’ve maintained their quality, and even though the file sizes are still large, they look great! I hope you found this video helpful for converting HEIC files to PNG.
