Today, I’m going to show you how to calculate your BMR, or basal metabolic rate, online. I usually use a great site called calculator.net, and I’ll drop the link in the description for you to check it out. So, let’s dive in. You can use this calculator for yourself or for a client. For example, let’s say we’re calculating for a 35-year-old male. We’ll input a height of 188 centimeters, which is roughly 6'2" or 6'3". It’s important to note that you can choose between metric and US units, depending on what you prefer. Once we have the height, we’ll also input the weight, which we’ll set at 95 kilograms. There are additional settings available, like body fat percentage, if you want to get more specific. After entering all the details, we hit calculate, and just like that, we get our result. In this case, the BMR is 1955 calories per day. This number represents the calories your body needs at rest. Now, the calculator also provides adjustments based on activity levels, whether you’re sedentary or more active. This is useful if you want to understand how your lifestyle affects your calorie needs. Next, let’s switch to US units for another example. We’ll calculate for a 40-year-old female, entering her height as 5'6" and weight as 125 pounds. Again, we click calculate, and the BMR comes out to 1,254 calories per day. One of the best things about this site is that it’s super user-friendly and ad-free, making it easy to navigate. You can access it from any device, whether it’s your phone, tablet, or desktop, and bookmark it for future use. I hope you found this tutorial on how to calculate BMR online helpful.
