Whether you're curious or preparing for the army, this tool is super helpful. The calculator is based on the Army Body Fat Assessment published on June 12, 2023. To get started, you can find the link to the calculator in the video description. It's a bit lengthy, but just click it, and you'll be taken directly to the site. Once you're there, you can easily select whether you're male or female at the top of the page. Let’s say you’re a 25-year-old male weighing 185 pounds. For the waist measurement, we’ll use 3 feet and 0 inches, which is the measurement taken around the belly button. After entering these details, you just hit the calculate button. The result shows an estimated body fat percentage of 22%, which meets the maximum allowable standard for your age group. You can run this calculation multiple times with different numbers, whether it’s for yourself or someone else. Now, if we switch to a female example, let’s say we have a 35-year-old woman who weighs 120 pounds and has a waist measurement of 2 feet. After calculating, we find her body fat percentage is 20%, which is also within the allowable limit for her age, which is 34%. It’s important to note that women typically have a higher body fat percentage than men on average. This calculator provides estimates, so it’s not scientifically precise, but it gives a good ballpark figure. Hopefully, you found this video useful for understanding how to use the Army Body Fat Calculator. If you did, please give this video a like; it really helps out.
