In this video I’m taking you into our neutral nursery and sharing all the little bits we’ve pulled together so far at 7 months pregnant — including the moment I painted my very first wall mural. I wanted the whole space to feel calm, cosy and super timeless (nothing too “theme-y”), so I leaned into soft neutrals, natural textures and a few warm wood tones to keep it feeling homey rather than clinical. I chat you through what inspired the mural (I had a wallpaper reference in mind), how I approached painting it even though I’m definitely not a professional, and how the bigger furniture choices set the vibe — like the cot and storage. I also show you some of the practical, everyday set-up bits that make newborn life easier, like the changing area and nappy caddy, plus the lighting and little cosy touches that make the room feel relaxing.
