This is the £120 keyboard I tested against Apple’s up-to-£350 Magic Keyboard, and it’s genuinely close in day-to-day use. You lose Smart Connector power and pass-through charging because it’s Bluetooth, but you gain a proper protective case and that brilliant portrait-mode viewing for documents.

- +Backlit keys and full function row
Cons
- -Bluetooth only (no Smart Connector / pogo pin power)
- -No pass-through charging for the iPad
- -Heavier and thicker overall
- -Trackpad is smaller and typing is slightly spongier
