Powerless is classic Elsie Silver for me—extremely bingeable, easy to read, and yes, spicy. Jasper totally made this one my favorite so far in Chestnut Springs (quiet, broody, devoted), but overall it’s still a formulaic, perfect palate cleanser kind of read, so I rated it 3.5.
