Exploring Abandoned Military Tunnels On Korčula Island // Spring 2021 // Day 6

#VanLife #Overlanding #Nomad When Croatia was part of Yugoslavia, there was a significant military presence on the islands. During our sailing trips, we’ve been able to explore the hidden submarine bases on the islands of Vis and Lastovo. And here on Korčula, we were camping near one of the secret tunnels of the past and couldn’t resist a family hike to take a closer look. We didn’t get very far due to the spookiness and lack of flashlights and it surprisingly didn’t smell like pee Iike every other tunnel we’ve ever been in.
