What is a business partnership? Not to be confused with a simple join venture that does not form an actual business, a partnership is a form of business legal structure where two or more entities formally create and own a business together. A standard partnership is directly connected to the owners. This means the taxes of the business are filed on the tax returns of the owners and other accounts like bank accounts and sales tax accounts are also directly tied to the owners.
