Holiday Headband DIY easy sewing pattern and tutorial

A stylish headband just in time for the holiday season! Use up all your small pieces of quilting fabric and themed fabric. Great for the holiday fabrics like Christmas, Halloween and Easter. Make them for family, friends and your sewing business! This is a cotton fabric version of our popular Rosie headband, inspired for the iconic Rosie the Riveter poster from World War 2. If you use bandana cotton, you could mimic the real Rosie band from the poster with comfort and style! The pattern is very simple. Three rectangles of fabric and a piece of wider elastic for the back about 3/4 of an inch by 4 inches or 19 mm by 10 cm. The pattern and instructions are presented in both inches and cms. Sewing skill level is beginner. Once you make one the process is fast and easy! You can easily adjust the size by adding to the length of the elastic or to the length of the main headband piece to make it bigger or subtracting from the length of elastic or headband piece to make it smaller. For a 23.5 inch head or 60 cm, add an inch. For a 21.5 inch head or 55 cm, subtract an inch. The measurements given in the video are average adult woman size which is 22.5 inches or 57.5 cm. You can also make it without the knot and it is a very stylish, comfortable headband. My son the linesman says it would be great for guys (without the knot) for wearing under a hardhat or bike helmet. The pattern incorporates two of our popular headband patterns.
