A transparency swatch is super helpful when you’re comparing reds, because some of them surprise you by being more translucent than you expect. I like having a standardized swatch so I can compare spools fairly and keep notes on what I’d use for display pieces versus functional parts. It’s an easy way to avoid color regret later.
