Lesser Octopus Release July 2016

The lesser octopus (Eledone cirrhosa) is native to the Scottish coastline. It has an estimated lifespan of around 18 months. This individual had been donated to us by a local creel fisherman and had been in the aquarium for 6 months. She was released back into the Moray Firth with the hope that she will find a mate and complete her life cycle. Thanks to film-ocean for assisting us with this project.
