oday’s ride was one of the most unexpected parts of my journey so far. I left Sablayan and tried to take the same beach route as before – but suddenly the road was newly paved and 20 cm higher than before! I couldn’t ride it anymore, so I had to improvise. What followed: crossing the narrow bridge again with oncoming traffic, discovering the stunning jungle beauty of Lake Libuao (with drone shots!), and finally riding all the way to Abra de Ilog – where I caught a ferry to Luzon. I didn’t arrive until 9:30 PM.
