Does Rio redeem itself after a rough start? We gave it one more shot — here’s how it went. 🇧🇷🙌 After skipping our second day in Rio due to the trauma of robberies on day one, we decided to give the city one more shot. 😬🇧🇷 We planned a low-cost DIY day to Christ the Redeemer and the famous Selarón Steps. A friend recommended a private driver for $100, but after he initially quoted us $140, we declined. We just didn’t want to spend the day with someone trying to take advantage. Instead, we hopped in an Uber for under $5 to the top of Corcovado. When we saw the massive line for shuttle tickets, we nearly caved to a more expensive "skip the line" offer… but then we spotted a tram with no line at all! 🚋 Total win — and it took us straight to the top! After visiting Christ the Redeemer, we headed to Santa Teresa for a lovely lunch and explored the vibrant Selarón Steps before heading back to the ship. Our entire Uber cost for the day?
