I needed a fresh start

Sometimes it’s time for a fresh start. Not necessarily to run away, but to reset, recalibrate, and begin again with a blank slate. Sometimes you need to heal. Sometimes you just need a breath of fresh air, to help you out of your stagnation. And sometimes you do just need to run away Ever since I moved to the States from England when I was 13, I’ve always felt a little nomadic. Not in the sense that I don’t have a home. In fact I have many. I love London, and I love New York. I’m a Londoner as well as a New Yorker. But sometimes after staying in one place for a while, I feel like I need to go somewhere new. Like a soft reboot. Maybe I’ll even come back. Maybe I won’t. Only time can tell. I feel like I got robbed of half my college experience due to Covid. It’s been this weight that I’ve felt over my head for the last year since graduating. I transferred to my second college halfway through my sophomore year, so half of my entire time there was under Covid. It didn’t even feel like college. I was commuting and not dorming, so I couldn’t even visit my friends in their buildings. And then as soon as I graduated, I watched as life returned to normal on campus. It felt like they got everything I was begging for, pleading for, as soon as I was gone. So I’m going to Florida for a lil bit. It’s not the same. But i think it’ll fill that hole that I’m feeling. And I’ll be able to move on to my next phase in life at peace. I’m trying to live my life down here to the fullest, so I’ll have countless stories to tell. My entire goal is storytelling.
