About This Video

In this session I walk you through how to build a future-proof AI thinking partner—one that thinks alongside you, not for you. I start by naming the big three problems I see people run into: AI starts thinking for you, it overwhelms you with a brutal “your 10 words → its 1,000 words” ratio, and then it fails you with generic output (or “context rot”). From there I lay out three cognitive traps to avoid—cognitive debt, cognitive isolation, and cognitive surrender—because if we don’t name the traps, we can’t design around them. Then I show the core architecture: an AI OS with three layers. At the center is your Ideaverse (your notes, your linked thinking, your files). Around that is the translation layer—the missing piece most people skip—which teaches AI how to navigate your thinking on your terms. And only on the outside is the AI layer (Claude/ChatGPT/whatever comes next), which I want you to treat as swappable and rented. I pair that with my IDI rules—Imagine, Discern, Integrate—so you stay at the center of your thinking. Finally, I expand what “thinking partner” can mean with archetypes like the Synthesizer and Producer, and I demo practical examples inside my own system.
