About This Video

In this video I’m sharing my current journal ecosystem—the handful of notebooks that work together so I can plan, capture ideas, and stay cozy without turning my life into a complicated system. Since we’re heading toward the 2026 planner preorder season, I wanted to do a mid-year check-in and show what’s actually sticking right now, and why each notebook earns its spot in my lineup. I walk through my A5 bullet journal as the “home base” where I keep the big picture and the day-to-day planning in one place. Then I share how I’m using a pocket notebook for quick capture on the go—because if something matters, I need a place to write it down immediately. I also talk about my commonplace notebook for collecting notes, ideas, and the kind of information I want to keep long-term, plus a dedicated songwriting journal for creative work. Finally, I show my content notebook, which helps me keep YouTube and social ideas organized so they don’t clutter up my personal planning. The main takeaway: a good ecosystem isn’t about having more notebooks—it’s about giving each one a clear job so your brain can relax.
