This is a full review of Universal Orlando Resort's Volcano Bay water park. Volcano Bay sits on 53 acres, it opened in 2017, and it was inspired by the fictional waturi islanders. Volcano Bay is made up of 4 different sections, which are Wave Village, River Village, and the Rainforest Village centered around the 200-foot-tall Krakatau Volcano, which serves as the base for four popular attractions. It is a tropical-themed water park and it was the first water park constructed by Universal Creative. Volcano Bay is next to Cabana Bay Beach Resort and two other Universal Studios hotels. The park replaced the Universal-owned Wet 'n Wild water park, which closed on December 31, 2016. The park's ride experience has been mixed. The cost to build it was an estimated US$600 million. Volcano Bay's attractions are in four themed areas, each inspired by various Polynesian islands and cultures. Join me as I look at the park and give you an unbiased and honest review.
