About This Video

In this video I show you how I start a MUSIC cover poster/flyer design in Photoshop, the same way I work when I’m doing album/EP launch cover art for clients. I begin with a square canvas (1200 x 1200), then I bring in a heavy background image, convert it to a Smart Object, and crop/clean the parts I don’t like. From there I test color moods by throwing a shape layer on top and switching blend modes like Multiply and Overlay, because that’s how I really design—try and error until the vibe works. I also talk through choosing and placing the artist image, flipping it, and planning to blend it properly later. Then I start laying out the text: the project title “Good Music”, the EP launch line, the artist name (B Papa), and the tracklist. I show how I look for references (how people write “EP launch”), and I use my favorite typeface direction (like Poppins) while adjusting spacing and hierarchy so the “Good Music” gets the main attention. The key takeaway: don’t stress if you don’t “know” the final design immediately—build it step-by-step, test your overlays/filters, and keep the layout clean and modern.
