About This Video

In this live session, I designed a modern, typical Ghana funeral poster in Photoshop from scratch, and I walked you through the whole layout like we’re doing it together. I started with an A2 canvas (420 x 594) and brought in the portrait, then I quickly improved the image using an AI tool and blended it with the original so it doesn’t look “too toy.” I used a layer mask and brush to control the eyes and skin details, because the goal is to get back clarity without overdoing the AI look. From there, I built the funeral poster structure: “Celebration of Life” at the top with a handwritten-style font, then the name block, age, and the main details (children, widow, and funeral arrangements). I showed how I keep things readable with paragraph settings, alignment, spacing, and simple separators (like a thin line). For color, I tested deep brown/gold tones, then matched the background to the outfit (greens), and I added a rich gold frame plus a simple badge for the age. Finally, I did quick finishing touches—background blending, opacity control, and Camera Raw sharpening—so the poster looks clean, modern, and print-ready.
