We’re on a 50-state road trip with our kids, looking for the coolest, kid-approved short-term rental in each state. In Massachusetts, we stayed at Jolly Captain Lighthouse - a restored 1960s landmark on Cape Cod that once served as the office for the Jolly Captain Motor Lodge. Our hosts, Krista and Maria, have turned it into the most charming family renovation project, and every inch of the space blew us away. We also spent an afternoon exploring Boston, grabbing lunch at Quincy Market and following the Freedom Trail through cobblestone streets and historic corners of the city.
