I tested the THIEAUDIO Hype 4 extensively (well over 100 hours) and it’s a more refined, more complete version of what I loved about Hype 2. You get boosted sub-bass that stays clean, a flat but detailed midrange, and a treble that finally adds the air, energy, and micro-detail without turning harsh.

- +Rich, punchy bass with strong sub-bass authority and good control
- +Clear, detailed midrange with good note definition and body
- +Airy, well-extended treble with improved micro-detail and no harshness in my testing
- +Excellent technicalities: depth, layering, imaging, separation
- +Great fit (for me), solid build, and a good stock cable + large case
Cons
- -Large shells may be challenging for small ears
- -Midrange can sound a bit sterile/dry on occasion
- -Not cheap for the category
