Nasi Uduk | Indonesian Recipes

Hey guys! Today we are making this Indonesian recipe! It is a rice dish called Nasi Uduk! This is a famous rice dish made with coconut cream. You can cook it in a rice cooker or also use a vegetable steamer if you want. Check out the recipe below both in English and Indonesian. Keep smiling! :) Ingredients: 4 cups uncooked rice 200 ml coconut cream http://amzn.to/1U3uZVt 1 inch fresh ginger, washed and peeled 3 citrus leaves 2 bay leaves, fresh is best 1 stick of lemon grass Salt Water Rice Cooker: http://amzn.to/1ZJZsM1 Coconut Cream: http://amzn.to/1U3uZVt Directions: 1. Wash your rice. Place in your rice cooker pot. Add your coconut cream, lemon grass, citrus leaves, bay leaves and ginger. Just a pinch of salt. 2. Add water so that it reaches your 4 cups mark on your rice cooker. 3. Cook until rice is tender and all the moisture is gone. 4. If it is not cooked well, put it in a vegetable steamer for about 10 minutes. Return it to your rice cooker to keep it warm. 5. Serve your Nasi Uduk with sliced tomatoes, cucumbers, lime and fried shallots. You may also like to eat it with boiled eggs, fried chicken or fish!
