I visited JW Marriott Auckland for the first time to try their afternoon tea at the Forum Bar, right in the centre of the CBD. For $65pp, I thought it was good value for Auckland, with a really original mix of savoury bites, strong scones, and a chocolate & Earl Grey tart that was a standout for me.
Pros
- +Central Auckland CBD location and very convenient
- +Original savoury and sweet options (not just standard sandwiches)
- +Scones were warm on arrival and nicely spongy
- +Staff were helpful and the space felt calm and relaxing
Cons
- -Not bottomless; only one drink included
- -Some portioning felt a bit uneven (some items doubled, others single)
