Find out how to switch from DHCP to a Static IP address on EVE-NG. If your EVE-NG installation was not able to get an IP address via DHCP, then you can restart the EVE-NG setup process and manually configure a static IP address using the steps below. To do this, follow these steps: 1. Login to the EVE-NG VM (default: username: root / password eve) 2. Remove the saved EVE-NG config file: rm -f /opt/ovf/.configured 3. Restart the setup process: su - 4. Go through the setup process (select a static IP address using the spacebar) 5. After the reset process is finished, your EVE-NG will be set up with the new static IP address.
