Yep, that’s me—starring as the lead in my first feature film… with literally zero acting experience outside of high school theater. In this video, I’m taking you through my entire Banana Split journey, from self-tapes on Backstage to a virtual meeting with the director, to an in-person chemistry read in New York where I was fully like, “feel free to yell at me,” and my co-star was like, “oh, I won’t be.” A few days later, we got the email: we were the leads. Next thing I knew, I was signing contracts, packing my bags, and moving to NYC for the summer. I vlog the behind-the-scenes chaos and the magic: 10-day shoot, 14–16 hour set days, hair and makeup at 9 a.m., wrapping at 2–4 a.m., carrying a mattress through NYC, filming in heat while our characters are stuck in heavy pants, and even a chaotic Hamptons car ride where we were crying laughing. I also share why this experience confirmed I’m meant to act—because I never dreaded the day, I woke up excited.
